Santa-san
I’m not the jolly type
Yet my university here in Japan, presumably noting my generous proportions and oh-so-desirable white skin, decided I was the perfect candidate to be Mr Claus at one of their associated kindergartens. Yep, they’re going to dress me up in a red outfit and have me hand out presents to little children.
Now, I’ve seen me, I’d be terrified if I was a five year-old kid and I walked in dressed as a red faced old man, cackling away in a foreign language Santa doesn’t speak Japanese, I’m told). Still, if the cap silly hat fits, I guess I’ll wear it, and be jolly and nice to the adorable little tykes.
Talking of the festive period, I will be spending the whole thing in Fukuoka, hopefully being visited by a friend from back home and maybe a couple more from oop North (Tokyo, Sapporo), which should make for a nice Christmas. Not much chance of snow though.
